Time for some changes, here we go.

I know I promised this a couple of days ago, but this week has been a crazy, stressful one. I have a very exciting...Well really, there isn't just one word to explain how exciting this announcement is because, it's pretty amazing. You know the moments that you look forward to in life such as, falling in love, getting married, getting an education, having a great career, buying a home and having babies? Well I can now say I have done at least four of the above so far. And yes, they have definitely been out of order! Were not your typical couple, and I don't mind at all.

Okay, ya ready? I hope you are as excited as I am if you have ever got to experience this moment in your lives for yourself.

*Deep breath in....*
Were buying our very first house!
Yipee! Woohoo!

Source
It has already been quite the adventure so far, along with many frustrations. But more exciting than I ever imagined it could be! We got our pre-approval letter last week and have found three homes we really love. We have been trying all week to get in to see the homes, but have been dealing with some difficulties from the current home owners in two of the homes. Were trying to be patient and hang in there. That's the name of the house buying game, right? We are just so ready for some change and to be out on our own, for the first time.

We have already done a little shopping for the house! This is our first place to call our own and currently all we have is a dresser, crib, toddler bed, armoire, vanity and a dresser. So needless to say, we have quite a bit to buy to furnish the house! I think that is going to be the most fun part though. M is letting me pick the colors, decor, etc. See my post below  for some of my inspiration. I did pick up this pillow I have been longing for though! (yay!) It will go on the couch, along with 2 others similar in color.

Source
If anyone has any other ideas for some room decorating ideas, please let me know! I know that we will be doing the living room in my favorite color, yellow combined with gray and a crisp white. For the master, I was thinking of a nice green with some yellow and blue accents. No clue for the kitchen, bathrooms, office or the boys room. *Sigh. I am happy to share this excitement with you all! Wish us luck, were hoping to be all moved in by March 1st,  hopefully that's a realistic goal. I will keep you up-dated on how it's all going! Were all still sick right now, so hopefully we will feel better next week and be able to go see some of these homes.

Thanks everyone!
Much love,

What I'm loving Wednesday

I have seen this weekly post on several different lovely blogs recently and finally decided to partake. What a fun weekly post! I have had a hard time finding out who the exact host is, so if anyone knows, please let me know!

1} I am loving that I got my taxes done and will have a little extra money for some shopping. I cannot wait! I am looking forward to getting some Spring clothes and shoes.

I really want these pumps I just found at Forever 21:

2} I am currently loving Interior design magazines and websites. I dream of decorating my own gorgeous home one day filled with bright yellows, grays, crisp whites. Here are some pics of some ideas I really like:

3} I am loving anything cupcakes... Especially baking Vegan cupcakes for my Family and friends. Check out this post of mine I did recently. It includes a fabulous Vanilla vegan cupcake recipe too!

Beautiful right? There is just something about cupcakes that just make me smile.

4} Yoga. I have only taken one class so far, but I have instantly fallen in love with it. I was calm and relaxed the whole time, it was so nice. It challenged me mentally and physically which was great too. The few days after I went I was sore in places I never knew I could be, good to know it's working!

Along with Yoga, I am loving this new outfit Micah bought me for my classes: The brand Verve is for Rock climbing, but I am using it for Yoga for now until I feel more strong to get back into climbing.

5} Pink Rock Stars! Mmmmmmm.

6} The Bachelor! I am definitely rooting for Emily M. This season has been awesome!

7} The fact that it is already almost midterms. So excited!Almost half way through this quarter already. See my previous post.

8} Loving my Family so much. I am so lucky and blessed! We are all sick right now but my little guys are so cuddly and sweet. Hoping to feel better soon.

That is what I am loving right now!
Happy Wednesday lovelies,

An update, some thank you's and The Bachelor.

I am finally back to my normal blogging routine, hooray! So I thought this would be a good time for an up-date on school, Family life and a few other lovelies. A Blogtastic Extravaganza went A-mazing! I had a wonderful opportunity to work with some great brands, give away some fabulous prizes and I got more new readers on my blog than I ever could have imagined, all in only five days. I wanted to thank you all for following and supporting my blog! I really hope you enjoy reading and what is to come. I am so happy to have you all here! Next month I will be working with some great companies for a few giveaways, I am  looking forward to it along with Valentines day. It's going to be a great month full of fun!

School has been going better, I am in week four of my third quarter of Nursing school. I am currently enrolled in Organic/Bio Chemistry for Health professionals and Film and Society. I am only taking seven credits this quarter which has been kind of nice. This has been my least favorite quarter so far mostly because of the frustration of having to retake this Chemistry class due to the school loosing my transcripts and a big case of mis-communication. I am taking it week by week though. I finally feel like things are looking up and I am slowly warming up to this new group of women. We don't connect at all and they are very quiet which is completely opposite of myself. I am loud, friendly, happy, positive and feel like I cannot be any of this around them. Trying to stay positive though, there isn't much else I can do at this point. I just miss my friends from my last cohort, greatly.  On a positive note, I am doing well in my classes which is nice, staying caught up has helped a lot. We are almost to midterms already, yay! I just cannot wait for clinicals to start-I still have six months until I'm there. Patiently waiting over here.. Tick-tock. As I have said before, even though I have gone through a lot of obstacles and many more are to come, I am enjoying the journey of Nursing school. It's been awesome. I'm slowly Getting closer to saving some lives! Woot!

I am happy to announce some BIG changes that are coming ahead for our Family. I can't say what it is right now because we are waiting to find out some more information, but were making some big decisions and it's going to be amazing! Other than having children together, this has to be one of the most exciting things we have ever done together. Looking forward to sharing more with you as soon as I can!

So who else has been watching The Bachelor? I am loving this season! I think there are some really amazing women this season, along with quite a few very interesting women. Know what I mean? The woman I am rooting for is definitely Emily M. She is so sweet and kind! She seems like such a sweet soul and they seem like such a great fit together. Who are you rooting for?

A Blogtastic Extravaganza-Sponsor Spotlight: The Pretty Peacock

Introducing my last, but definitely not least fabulous sponsor for A Blogtastic Extravaganza:

The Pretty Peacock is an online jewelry company that features gorgeous and creative pendants, bracelets, rings and much more that can be personalized with engravings and birthstones.
Their mantra for 2011 is: "Be responsibly luxurious this year."
How you may ask? By using earth-loving materials as much as possible.
Here is a little bit about The Pretty Peacock from it's lovely owner:

"The Pretty Peacock first emerged into existence as a way to feed a creative soul. It has now evolved into a passion to design pieces that celebrate our loved ones, special moments - the most important aspects of life that make it our own. Each piece of jewelry is designed and created with great care, pride and lots of good juju! You will be able to feel the difference. In my mind, jewelry should not just be a bauble that matches the outfit of the day, it should be something that evokes emotion, conversation...something that allows you to think about your surroundings and your very being."

~Ana
Head Bird

They have several lovely collections that you are bound to fall in love with. My favorite collection would have to be the Wherever you may Roam- Latitude and Longitude collection:

"Have a special place you want to hold close to your heart? Where you first met? Your first kiss? Where you were married? Where you graduated? Where the kids were born?
Here is a fashionable and unique way to have it close to your heart!
The coordinates are hand stamped, one-by-one to ensure that your special text lasts a lifetime. We use the Latitude/Longitude format that pinpoints a specific point."
Here are some photos of this stunning collection
Pendant

Bracelet

How cool is this collection? What a great way to remember the exact location of a very special event in your life! Any piece from the "Where ever you may roam collection" is bound to be an eye catcher.

The other collection I adore is The Good Karma collection:

This entire, inspiring collection is  hand-crafted using fine silver and requires no harmful mining to attain. These pieces are earth-friendly and good for your soul.

Good Karma Lariat Sanskrit pendant with green amethyst

Sweet fortunes
Good Karma wise owl birthstone pendant

Gorgeous, and so perfectly made. These pieces are full of good Karma!

All items from The Pretty Peacock are able to be customized how ever you want.
Here is the birthstone chart:

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to review a necklace personalized just for me with my two little boy's birthstones:

How lovely is this? This is my first official "Mom" necklace. It means so much to me! I absolutely love it. The birthstones and diamonds on the outside of this sweetheart pendant are stunning! I wish I would have taken a picture of how beautifully it was wrapped though. It even had a cute little peacock feather tucked inside the brown silk ribbon. The wrapping was almost as stunning as my necklace. It really made my day! It was one of those packages you almost didn't want to open because the wrapping was so beautiful.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of my lucky readers is going to win a special, personalized necklace of their own!

A Blogtastic Extravaganza-Sponsor Spotlight: All that we are

Balancing stilettos and scrubs is proud to introduce one of my last 2 sponsors for A Blogtastic Extravaganza

Have you been looking for gorgeous, unique, hand made ceramic and glass pendants? If so, "All that we are" is the Etsy shop for you. Their shop is filled with a great selection of gifts for the soul. Many of Bridget's items reflect the great beauty of mother nature and have beautiful, inspirational sayings that are bound to bring a smile to your face.

Here are some examples of the necklaces that are nature inspired:

How beautiful are all of these? I wish to have each one of these one day.
The impressions are filled with bits of recycled glass ~ a new life for those empty wine bottles!

Here is a little bit about Bridget and what inspires her to make these beautiful pendants:

"Color and words capture me. I started working with the glass tiles because they made me happy. With a gorgeous array of handmade papers to choose from, I feel like a kid in the candy store! Searching for just the right part of the paper feels like an adventure. I love getting lost in the colors and designs. I’ve also had loads of fun combining beautiful artwork (both my own & other talented artists) with words and quotes in digital collages under glass. This shop lets me play in all my worlds using clay, color and words to bring you pieces that I hope will delight your soul as much to wear or give as it does mine to make them."
All that we are is a result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think, we become.
-- Buddha

Bridget's Etsy shop and all of her gorgeous items inspire me very much. How perfect was it that I got to review a beautiful pendant that reflects me and my dream of being a Nurse?
Everyday I remind myself.. "Enjoy the journey." I will miss this one day.

Here is my inspiring necklace I had the opportunity to review:

I can't tell you how much I adore this necklace, I wear it often!

Here are some other very inspiring necklaces you are bound to love:
