Proudly introducing.... Scrub/Ink

Proudly introducing one of my new, lovely sponsors: Scrub/ink. They make unique, wonderfully priced scrubs that have even been worn by Dr. Oz!

I want to share their story with you:

"After watching a sea of nurses walking past their office window, Rodger and Dalia (a father-daughter duo) couldn’t help but notice how they all looked very similar. Rodger, having 30 years of experience in the garment industry, and Dalia an award winning graphic designer knew there had to be a way to combine fashion and personality to the classic uniform, without compromising professional appearance.
Since 1950, Rodger and Dalia’s family has been manufacturing in the garment center. They have shipped to large corporations, small businesses, and individuals with pride and care. From the onset of their careers, they have prided themselves in manufacturing every one of their quality garments solely in New York City…not many people can say that!
Through their combined experience of design and fashion, Scrub Ink was born. Today, medical professionals and patients alike are enjoying the unique individuality offered by Scrub Ink…and we hope you will too."

Rodger and Dalia

They are located in NYC and working with the owners has been such a pleasure! I am going to be ordering my first pair from them this weekend, yay! They have such a wonderful, unique collection of modern, stylish scrubs along with many colors to choose from.

One of the many things that makes their scrub company unique is their "Signature top" collection:
"Our creative graphic scrub concept is designed to help you show off your personality while maintaining a professional appearance."

You also have the option to UPLOAD your own photo to have personalized on your scrub pocket!
"Share a little piece of your world with your patients!"

When you have a minute, head over to their site and take a look around at their wonderful collection of scrubs. If you're in the market, you will definitely love their prices as well.

Welcome Scrub/Ink to The Balancing Act in Stilettos and Scrubs!
{You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter

Prefenz Review

"One spray lasts all day!"

It is almost April.. And it is still snowing here in good ol' Utah. Yes, really! I am so ready for Winter to be over with. This winter hasn't actually been too bad for my kids being sick for once! Last winter, both little guys had RSV at least twice along with hospitalizations. My Family is obsessed with being germ free and using hand sanitizer.
I have searched, and searched for the "best" hand sanitizer that is safe for my little ones hands, that is good for our hands and smells good. Ah, hah! Found it! I was contacted by Prefenz to see if I was interested in doing a review on their products. Of course, I always like to try out new products. I received a little bottle and it lasted us a month! Prefenz is a Silica based hand sanitizer that smoothes, softens and protects hands for 24 hours, or 10 hand washings. Not only does it smell amazing, but it leaves hands SO smooth! All you need is one pump too which is nice! It saves a little bit of money, which these days any little bit helps.

A few advantages of using Prefenz instead of alcohol based hand sanitizers:

*It is 100% alcohol free!
*Sanitizes your skin on contact and leaves hands soft and smooth
*Proactively and persistently offers protection from germs for up to ten hand washes without reapplication!
*Contains a moisturizing silica complex with soothing organic botanicals that help prevent dryness and redness.
*It is safe for the little ones!

Some benefits of using Prefenz:

*Kills all strains of staphyloccus aureus which includes drug resistant MRSA strains.
*Provides long lasting protection against germs.
*Stops skin, to skin transfer of germs
*Easy, rapid foam application.
*It is colorless and invisible upon application.
*SMELLS wonderful!
If you are interested in learning more about Prefenz, feel free to check out their FAQ section on their website!

My review:
I really did love this product and would definitely recommend it. It was very light, left my hands soft and feeling really clean. The organic essential oils in the foam smell wonderful! That was honestly my favorite part of the sanitizer, along with how long it lasted. It goes on very nicely and leaves your hands feeling natural, bot sticky or smelly like some others tend to do. Overall, I loved it!

Happy I could share this wonderful brand with you!
If you are interested in buying Prefenz, head to their site and they will find you the closest location to you, or you can buy online or at your local REI.

A new job & A new quarter.

Is this weekend already almost over? They go by wayyyyyyyyyy too fast these days don't they? This has been my second week/weekend working in my new job. Oh, I forgot to mention that didn't I? Sorry about that! Since Our bills are going to be doubling from buying this house, I wanted to help as much as possible. It took a while to find it, but I finally got hired as a CNA working in the home health and hospice field! I work four days a week: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Friday. I never thought I would love it as much as I do! I have such wonderful patients. I really think this is going to really help me as a Nurse as well, which is a big plus.

My fourth quarter of Nursing school starts April 6th. I am a lot more excited for this quarter to be honest.. After 12 weeks, it feels good to have the excitement back, even if it is just a little.
I will be taking Human Physiology and Foundations of Microbiology & Labs for both.

My books/must have school supplies:

This quarter is the one that they are switching us to day classes. It will be an adjustment, but I think it will be a good one. So between working and school, I will have one day off a week. I work nights and have class during the day, (2 days a week) plus labs. *Phew! Plus moving is in less than two weeks, so life is going to be extremely busy! We are very, very excited though.

With this last quarter finishing up two days ago, I feel like I can finally take a deep breath and relax, just a little. I am finally getting caught up on this book with my morning coffee...

YAY!
Finally I can read a book (besides a text book) and not feel guilty about it. Even if it is just for a week. Hey, a break is a break right? It's been nice so far and I plan on enjoying it as much as possible!
Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend!
